Cancellation Policy
All appointments at Soul & Self-care are reserved specifically for you.
- Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 12 hours before your scheduled time.
- Changes made within 12 hours will result in the forfeiture of your retainer fee.
- No Call / No Show:
Failure to arrive without notice will result in:
Loss of retainer fee
Permanent ban from future appointments
Retainer fees are non-refundable.

Menstrual Cycle Policy
Clients may receive waxing services during their menstrual cycle with a clean tampon inserted.
Please note that the skin can be more sensitive during this time, which may increase discomfort. If you are uncomfortable receiving a service during your cycle, you are welcome to reschedule your appointment in advance.

What to Expect
Before
• Hair should be at least ¼ inch long (about the length of a grain of rice).
• Avoid retinol, strong exfoliants, or active skincare products on the area for 48 hours prior to your appointment.
• Gently exfoliate the area 24 hours before your service to help prevent ingrown hairs.
• Arrive in comfortable clothing to minimize friction on freshly waxed skin.
During
Your comfort and privacy are always a priority.
• Services are performed in a clean, private suite.
• Your esthetician will guide you through positioning and breathing techniques to help minimize discomfort.
• Hard wax and professional techniques are used to ensure effective and efficient hair removal.
• Most appointments are completed within 15–30 minutes, depending on the service.
After
Your skin may be more sensitive immediately following your appointment.
For the first 24–48 hours, please avoid:
• Hot baths, saunas, or steam rooms
• Heavy workouts or excessive sweating
• Sexual activity (for intimate waxing services)
• Tight clothing that may irritate the area
• Direct sun exposure or tanning
Continue exfoliating 2–3 times per week after 48 hours to help prevent ingrown hairs.
Possible Skin Reactions
Possible Skin Reactions
Waxing removes hair from the root, so mild skin reactions are normal and temporary.
You may experience:
• Redness
• Minor swelling
• Sensitivity or tenderness
• Small pinpoint bumps
These reactions typically resolve within 24–48 hours. If irritation persists longer than a few days, please contact your esthetician for guidance.
Who Should Not Receive Waxing Services
For your safety and skin health, waxing services may not be performed under certain conditions. Please review the following before booking your appointment.
Waxing services cannot be performed if you are currently:
• Using Accutane or have used it within the last 6 months
• Using Retin-A, Tretinoin, or other prescription retinoids on the treatment area
• Experiencing sunburn, open wounds, cuts, or irritated skin
• Experiencing active skin infections, rashes, or contagious skin conditions
• Using strong chemical peels or resurfacing treatments within the past 7 days
Clients should also inform their esthetician if they have:
• Diabetes
• Skin sensitivities or allergies
• Recently received laser treatments or chemical peels
• Any medical condition affecting the skin
For your safety, services may be modified or declined if the skin is not suitable for waxing at the time of your appointment.
